Government of Ontario announcement on gathering limits for sports and recreational facilities |

The Government of Ontario has announced changes to the gathering limits for sports and recreational facilities.
Facilities can now have up to 50 participants per room for each indoor sport or fitness room.
For Ontario Soccer members and indoor facility operators in Return to Play – Phase 2, each individual playing surface (field) can have up to 50 participants.

Community Coach Workshops are now Available Online |

Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce that the Community coaching workshops are now available online.
To ensure that the Community Coaching Workshops are more accessible and to allow greater flexibility on when these courses can be delivered, the coaches will be able to work at their own pace to complete the course material.
Online learning is now available for Active Start, Fundamentals, Learn to Train and Soccer For Life.

Ontario Soccer members step forward to help guide work on diversity in soccer |

Ontario Soccer is committed to developing leadership throughout its system which properly reflects the diverse demographic is serves.
Following an announcement on July 30, which Ontario Soccer stated it would be seeking applications for a new Diversity advisory Sub-Committee, the response has been encouraging.
Nearly 40 individuals, from a wide spectrum of demographics and roles within the soccer community, have stepped forward to offer their assistance to address the growing issues of diversity an racism in sport.

As Ontario’s Match Officials continue to prepare for the outdoor season with their online learning, Ontario Soccer is sharing another Match Official Panel Discussion from the Ontario Soccer Summit.
In this panel, the game and decision-making all come into play from different perspectives thanks to guests Scott Bowman (Canadian Premier League Match Official), Caroline Szwed (Sportsnet Host and Former Player) and Anthony Capotosto (Toronto FC Academy Director.)
The three have an open discussion regarding the view of decisionm-making from the eyes of a Match Official, Player and Coach.
