Toronto and Peel Regions are moving on to Return to Play – Phase 2 |
It has been exciting few weeks for soccer across Ontario as the Government of Ontario has announced the Public Health Units which have moved to Stage 3 of their plans for re-opening of the economy.
As part of those conditions, Ontario Soccer has announced the regions which can now move to the Phase 2 of the Return to Play plan.
As part of Phase 2, age and stage inter-squad modified games and enhanced training have begun.
Today, the Government of Ontario announced that Toronto and Peel would be the next regions moving on.

Coaches across Ontario have been investing in their development this year and taking the online C License Course.
Coaches who obtain a C License Certification will be able to be a Head Coach in some Regional Leagues, the OASL and an Assistant Coach in the OPDL.

Rowan’s Law Mandatory Implementation |

The Province of Ontario, at the present time, is the only province in Canada to enact Concussion Safety legislation throughout its sport system.
‘Rowan’s Law’ received Royal Assent on March 7, 2018, and Section 5 of the Act, proclaiming a ‘Rowan’s Law Day’ was the only section that came into effect at that time.
However, in 2019, the remaining parts of the Act and the regulation have now come into effect in phases.
