KY Youth Soccer to host National C License in 2019!
Kentucky Youth Soccer will once again be hosting the National C License! Dates:
Meeting 1: June 11-15, 2019
Meeting 2: July 31-August 4, 2019

Eligibility: To apply candidates must have possessed a US Soccer D License for 12 months or longer. Registration will open in January 2019!

Online Courses Coaching Education Courses
The online coaching education courses build on the topics covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players in specific age groups. These courses will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth. Introduction to Grassroots Coaching: This free introductory module, which represents the first step in the newly revised coaching license pathway, is now the general starting point of the pathway and is the required prerequisite to undergo any of U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Licensing Courses. Coaches who complete the module will also be provided with four complimentary Play-Practice-Play training sessions.
4v4 Course: A two-hour course focusing on the characteristics of players aged 6-8.
7v7 Course: A two-hour course focusing on the characteristics of players aged 9-10.
9v9 Course: A two-hour course focusing on the characteristics of players aged 11-12
11v11 Course: A two-hour course focusing on the characteristics of players aged 13 and older

Tim Kubel on Playing and Coaching in the US
Starting on your coaching career pathway while you are still playing can become challenging. Kentucky Youth Soccer was excited to help Toronto FC II and former Louisville Cardinal, Tim Kubel, get a kick start into coaching education when he recently attend a US Soccer Grassroots course in Versailles, KY. Having made 82 appearances for the Cardinals, Kubel was drafted in the 2018 by the MLS Franchise. He also had a prestigious youth playing career back in is homeland of Germany where he will continue to develop his coaching career during the winter break. Tim is currently coaching with the Toronto FC Juniors and sees the importance of developing coaching knowledge despite playing at the highest level. To read more about his experience click here
