Reds turn eyes to Campeones Cup

Toronto won’t have much time to rest on their laurels as their focus turns to the inaugural Campeones Cup on Wednesday (8:15 pm ET | ESPN2, Univision; TSN, TVA Sports). However, it was Sporting KC that grabbed the West perch by handing a 5-1 lesson to home side San Jose on Saturday night. Gerso rang up two goals and as many assists to lead the visitors to their sixth win in seven. RECAP

Fit to be tied at Dallas, LAFC, RSL

FC Dallas slipped out of the West penthouse after battling Saturday guests Columbus to a scoreless draw. The point nudged the Crew four points clear of Philadelphia for fourth place in the East, which comes with a home game in the Knockout Round of the playoffs. RECAP

Brandon Bye netted his first MLS goal eight minutes from time to earn New England a 1-1 share at LAFC. Though now unbeaten in five, Bob Bradley’s boys lost ground on the two teams above them in the West. RECAP

Real Salt Lake also let valuable points slip away at home on Saturday, settling for a 1-1 draw with Minnesota United. Miguel Ibarra leveled with six minutes remaining to keep RSL from jumping past LAFC into third place. RECAP
