Schedule announced for 2018 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships

FRISCO, Texas (June 22, 2018) — US Youth Soccer is proud to announce the schedule for the 2018 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships http://www.idevmail.net/link.aspx?l=19&d=26&mid=3689921&m=10195 to be held June 29 through July 3 at the Publix Virginia Soccer Training Center and Embrey Mills Complex in Spotsylvania, Va.

The US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships will feature top teams in the 12U through 19U age groups. Round robin games will take place Friday, June 29 through Sunday, July 1, with semifinal matches Monday, July 2. The US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Champions will be crowned following final games on Tuesday, July 3.

US Youth Soccer State Champions and select wildcards in the 12U through 19U Boys and Girls age groups from 15 State Associations, including from host Virginia Youth Soccer Association will participate in the event. The other state associations represented include Connecticut, Delaware, Eastern New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York West, Pennsylvania West, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia.

Teams competing in the Regional Championships advanced through the first step of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, where more than 10,000 teams began their journey at the US Youth Soccer State Championships. State champions advance to the one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships, where nearly a thousand teams compete.

The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series is the country’s most prestigious national youth soccer tournament. The event provides more than 185,000 players from US Youth Soccer’s 55 state associations, the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play. The Series is known as the ultimate destination for the country’s collegiate soccer coaches and the future of soccer.
