The Centre Circle Awards are Ontario Soccer’s highest level of recognition and are presented annually to deserving volunteers and organizations nominated on the basis of their outstanding contributions to the development of soccer in Ontario and Canada.

Ontario Soccer has announced the 2018 class of Centre Circle Award winners.

Ontario Soccer’s Annual General Meeting will take place this weekend

Notice has been given that the Annual Meeting of the Members will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Toronto – International Airport (Trillium Ballroom) – 970 Dixon Rd. Toronto, ON.

All active members (District Associations) and Associate Members are expected to attend. Please RSVP no later than June 1.

Registration is now open for The Robbie International Tournament

The registration for the Robbie International Soccer Tournament / Festival is now open and teams can begin applying.

This tournament has gained worldwide recognition as the largest annual charitable youth soccer tournament/festival with over $1.6 million donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

Masters Provincial Soccer Championship draws are now released

The Masters Provincial Soccer Championship draws have been finalized and teams now know their route to the finals.

The winners earn a trip to the Masters Men’s Eastern National Club Championship and the Masters Women’s Western Club Championship held in September.

The Battle for the North kicks off Wednesday night

It will be a historic Canadian Championship opening round when AS Blainville faces League1 Ontario’s Oakville Blue Devils on June 6 at the Stade Desjardins au Centre Bois-de-Boulogne in Laval.

For the first time ever, Canada Soccer’s signature competition will feature champions from leagues in Ontario and Quebec in the First Qualifying Round to face professional side Ottawa Fury FC.

League1 Ontario strikers maintain red-hot early season form

With League1 Ontario’s matchweek five in the books, the story of two red-hot strikers continues to impress.

On the men’s side, Sigma FC’s Marcel Zajac has scored seven goals in three league matches and smashed a brace in his team’s only cup match to date.

On the women’s side, FC London’s Jade Kovacevic, has nine goals in five games and leads the women’s division once again.

Ontario’s Joe Fletcher prepares for 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

In the four years since receiving his appointment to a FIFA World Cup, Assistant Referee Joe Fletcher has been busy.

Fletcher, who hails from Ontario. was appointed to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and returns to the competition after a successful cycle that included a number of successful appointments.

11 Ontario players included in Canada roster for June 10 game

Canada Soccer has selected the 20 Women’s National Team Players who will represent the maple leaf against Germany June 10, in Hamilton.

The two-time Olympic bronze medalists will welcome Germany, the reigning Olympic Champions to Tim Hortons Field for the Sunday afternoon match, which will feature 11 players who hail from Ontario.

Canada Soccer selects 11 Ontario players for youth tournament

Canada Soccer has brought together a promising group of 20 young players for the upcoming Festival International Espoirs Provence from May 26 to June 9 in France.

The squad, which has 11 Ontario players in the roster, will face a series of tough opponents as the players continue their international development towards contributing to the future success of Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team.

Ontario Soccer believes that the intention of any accessible and inclusive soccer program should focus on providing an opportunity for players in their own community to discover soccer, develop skills and build friendships as part of a team.

This guide will assist clubs, academies and districts with generating awareness about Accessible Soccer as well assist with understanding the Accessibility for Ontarians with the Disabilities Act.

WATCH – Sheldon Kennedy’s discussion on abuse in sport

After a riveting special screening of Swift Current, presented by Respect in Sport, Sheldon Kennedy joined the audience at the Ontario Soccer Summit 2018 for an intimate question and answer session about the abuse he suffered as a youth athlete and how we can prevent it from happening in soccer.

A former NHL player, Kennedy has been instrumental in bringing governments, public and private sector partners together to influence policy change and improve the way child abuse is handled.
